The mini map in Mercedes Drift is perhaps the greatest tool you have at your disposal in this game. You absolutely need to take advantage of it. Shown at the bottom right of your screen, the mini map displays your location as well as the locations of any drift boards you're close to. Knowing where those drift boards are allows you to see exactly where you need to get your car and allows you to form a solid plan of action. It's easy to just drive around until you find a board but that wastes time and in this game, you just don't have that luxury. Remember, with only sixty seconds on the clock, time is of the essence. You need to use every second to its fullest if you want to do well in this game. The mini map helps you do that.

If you want to get a good score in Mercedes Drift, your drift technique is important. This is going to be difficult for beginner and experienced driving game players alike because few other online driving games put such a heavy focus on drifting. The perfect drift combines speed and control with the proper approach. You need to go into the drift with a fair amount of speed but you also need to hit your brakes at the right time. Hit them too soon as you won't get the right amount of swing behind the car. Hit them too late and you'll hit the board. Deciding when to turn is also important. You want to get fairly close to the board so you get a fair amount of snow on it but you also don't want to hit the board and lose the points. It's difficult but with practice, you can definitely perfect the technique.
