Halloween Ride is a rail driving game - you don't have to worry about accelerating at all - but you do have to worry about changing lanes as fast as you can. And as far as the gameplay is concerned, it's all you should worry about; if you can't change lanes fast enough, not only will you tank damage faster than you'd like to, you won't even be able to make it to the first checkpoint.

And checkpoints are the only thing in this driving game that will save you. With pools of blood, road construction signs, and Dracula drivers coming at you all at once, there's no way you'll make it to any checkpoint unscathed. However, for bonus points, you can pick up potions; just make sure that you're not going in harms way to do so - it wouldn't be worth the points.

Each type of potion is worth a different amount of points, and each obstacle or trap you'll come across is more dangerous than the last. The pool of blood, for instance, is probably the nastiest trap you'll come across. Not because of what it is, but because of the fact that it takes up half of the road - where an obstacle like a Dracula driver will only take up one lane.

When in doubt, just hold down a left or right arrow key - not only will you change lanes much faster than you could by just tapping them, but you'll be able to get away from any obstacle. As long as you preserve your fuel by not getting hit, this driving game should be no problem, and, overall, it's a fun Halloween-themed game that almost any gamer will enjoy.
