Gorillaz Final Drive Walkthrough
The Gorillaz are a virtual band created in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The year 2001 saw the release of the band's self-titled first album and the second single from that album, "19-2000". The song also had an amazing animated music video, where the Gorillaz drove their Geep (a portmanteau of "Gorillaz" and "Jeep") down a highway. In Gorillaz Final Drive, a Shockwave driving game, you can take control of the Geep while listening to the groovy sounds of the Gorillaz!
Just as the lyrics of "19-2001" are seemingly pointless, Gorillaz Final Drive has no set objective. There are no finish lines to cross, no items to collect (not even a "cool shoeshine"), or quotas too meet. You can drive down the highway, perform stunts, or just sit back and listen to the tunes. This driving game goes perfectly with the free spirit of the Gorillaz' music!
The keyboard is used to control Gorillaz Final Drive. The up and down arrow keys are used to drive forward and backward. The left and right arrow keys are used to steer the vehicle. Pressing the spacebar will activate your handbrake, but it is not very useful in this driving game. Instead of braking, it is advisable to accelerate in the opposite direction of momentum (in other words, if you are moving forward, press the down arrow key, or if you are moving backward press the up arrow key). If your vehicle is flipped upside down, you can reset it on its wheels by pressing the R key.
Fans of the Gorillaz will have a blast with this 3D driving game. On the contrary, gamers looking for a game with objectives and scoring (or gamers that are not fans of the Gorillaz' music) should play a different game that will fit what they are looking for.
