Extreme Trucks 3 Walkthrough
Extreme Trucks 3 is one of those driving games that is so incredibly simple that anyone can play it but still entertaining enough to keep even the more experienced players playing level after level. There are no fancy upgrades to buy. The graphics are simple yet visually appealing and the levels are fairly difficult, and only get more difficult as you progress. There are levels in this game that are going to give even the most skilled driving game players trouble but yet the game never feels completely impossible.
Your goal in Extreme Trucks 3 is to make it from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen without destroying your trucks. You only have three trucks (aside from the one you start the game with) to get through the game so you need to be careful when you're driving. The terrain is rough with lots of hills and valleys to contend with. If you don't move fast enough in some cases, you won't be able to make it up the hill. Alternatively, if you hit some of the hills, valleys or other assorted obstacles with too much speed, you'll crash.
Keep an eye on the health of your truck in Extreme Trucks 3 by watching the little truck icon at the top left corner of the screen. As your truck takes damage, the color will drain out of that icon. If all the color is gone, your truck will be destroyed. If you notice the truck icon indicates your truck is heavily damaged, take a more cautious approach to the track. Carefully move over obstacles and watch your speed. It's better to need a few tries to get up a hill than it is to crash your truck because you were moving to fast. While getting through the level with a good time is great, it's far more important to actually get through the level. Keep that in mind and take a little extra time if you need it.
To the left of the truck icon at the top left of the game screen in Extreme Trucks 3, you'll see how many trucks you have left. This number is far more important to your game strategy than many players give it credit for. If you have three trucks left, you can be a little more reckless. This definitely comes in handy when you're coming up against a tough, intimidating looking obstacle. With a little room for error, that obstacle will look a lot less intimidating so you'll be able to approach it with a little more confidence. If you're on your last truck, on the other hand, you need to be much more careful with those tricky obstacles and the track in general. You don't want to destroy the last truck you have because you weren't paying attention to what was going on.
As you progress in Extreme Trucks 3, you'll find various bonuses to collect and new obstacles to overcome. Bonuses are great, but if you're having trouble with a track, don't worry about collecting all of those bonuses. They'll help your score, but only if you make it to the end of the track. Some of the bonuses are pretty hard to get. More experienced players are going to find the bonuses an exciting challenge while newcomers might find they make the game a bit too difficult. If that's the case, don't worry about them. Enjoy the basic game and leave the bonuses for more skilled players. As for the obstacles, it's really best to approach them the same way. Figure out what kind of speed you need to hit them with and work from there. Don't be afraid to go slow but if that doesn't work, put your truck in reverse and try again, hitting it with more speed. As you play, you'll get a better idea of how to handle different kinds of obstacles, so don't be afraid to make mistakes. In this game, mistakes are a valuable teaching tool.
Overall, Extreme Trucks 3 is an excellent driving game that is strongest because it really offers something for every driving game fan. From the newcomer to the driving game genre to more experienced and skilled players, this one appeals to everyone. Newcomers will appreciate the easy, uncomplicated controls while experienced players will offer the challenge put forth by levels that increase in difficulty as they progress. If there is a level you just can't seem to get past, take a step back. Do something else for a while and then come back to it. You'll see it in a whole new way. There isn't a single level in this game that can't be beaten. Figure out what you're doing wrong and change it. With a little patience, even the newcomer will be able to beat this game. Okay, with a lot of patience even the newcomer will be able to beat this game. Well worth it though. This is a game any fan of driving games, racing games or truck games needs to play at least once.
