I'm just going to go right ahead and say it. Desk Rally is, without a question, one of the most adorable driving games online. The basic premise is that the track is formed on someone's work desk. You have to drive your car around the track and attempt to come in first. Win all of the races to become the champion of desk driving. With cute graphics and an interesting premise, this game does a great job of setting itself apart from most of the other driving games online right from the start. When you add to that the fact that the levels are actually fairly difficult, you have a wonderfully addictive game that will keep you playing level after level.

More experienced driving game players are likely going to find the first level or two of this game a bit on the easy side but fear not, things definitely pick up as you progress in the game. Alternatively, this one is probably going to be quite difficult for newcomers to the genre because it can be fairly difficult to keep the car under control if you're not used to having to do so. That can pose problems as winning a race isn't just about speed but is also about control. You need to be able to help your car navigate the twists and turns in the track if you want to have any hope of beating your opponent. The great thing about this game though is that you do get better as you play. You learn how to handle the turns and do eventually improve. It's just a matter of taking the time to practice but with a game this fun, practice is no problem.

The only way to do well in Desk Rally is to focus on keeping your control moving quickly around the track while also making sure you stay in control of your car at all times. The other cars on the track can make this pretty difficult. They'll slam into your car and try to force you off track. Why not try to do the same to them? If you can get ahead of them, use your position to try to get the other car off the track, allowing you to gain more ground. This is a trick better saved for more experienced players, though. Newcomers should just try to do what they can to either avoid the other cars entirely or at least anticipate the hits. If you're paying attention, you'll be able to see the other car coming. Ease up on the speed. That way if the car hits you, you're not driven so far out of the way.

Corners are killers in Desk Rally. You need to know how to handle corners if you want to win the race. While going at the track as fast as you can seems like it might be the best way to win a race that isn't the case. In this game, as with most online driving games, you need to be cautions with your speed. When you're approaching a sharp turn, it's a much better idea to back off the accelerator and hit it with a little less speed. It will be much easier for you to keep control of your car that way. As you make the turn, you can tap your accelerator to maintain a bit of speed, but don't start holding it down again until you're on a straight stretch. You might lose a bit of speed overall, but you'll spend a lot more time on the track instead of battling to get back on after drifting off.

Overall, Desk Rally is a pretty simple driving game but that doesn't mean it isn't loads of fun. There are far more complicated driving games out there that offer only a fraction of the entertainment value you get with this one. It makes one think that perhaps the makers of Desk Rally are really on to something. The graphics are fun, colorful and entertaining but they don't distract you from the task at hand. It's truly fun to get through a level just to see what the next level holds. If you consider yourself a fan of racing games, driving games or car games, you definitely need to give this one a shot.
