The control scheme of Bullet Car is as easy as it could get. Heck! You don't even have to bother yourself with steering, braking, accelerating, upgrading your car, and everything else in between. All you need to do is transform your regular car into a bullet car (it's almost literal) by pressing the space bar button... and then switch back to a normal car by pressing the button again. That's about everything for the controls. Let's have a closer look at the game.

Bullet Car Walkthrough
Bullet Car - this is a driving game like no other... PERIOD! And we can only be happy that it is unique from the rest of the pack. In the world of driving games, it's hard to find one that stands out from the rest. Almost all of them have the same premise - you would race against a bunch of AI-driven racers; you need to finish within the top 3 spots to unlock the next track or to score a bunch of bonuses; upgrade your ride; rinse and repeat until you beat the game. While others may have MORE bells and whistles, fundamentally, most of these driving games are just the same, they are nothing but rehashed stuff. Fortunately, Bullet Car doesn't fall in that category. No, you don't have to race against other racers; you don't have to park your car in a very disorganized parking lot filled with hazards, etc - it's just a pure driving / car game that fans of the genre will surely LOVE.
Looking at it, Bullet Car is like the driving / car game version of Sonic The Hedgehog. There are A LOT of stuff to collect - extra fuel, coins, nitro for that sudden speed boost, etc., and you need to grab as many of them as possible in 'Sonic The Hedgehog-esque' fashion (READ: fast paced). The objective of the game is also very straightforward: you need to rack up the HIGHEST score possible by building the longest chain which is done by collecting all of those stuff mentioned above without stopping. Sounds simple? Yeah, it does until you realize that there are gates, fences, pits filled with spikes, and other obstacles that will stop you from coasting to a HIGH score. You see, when you are in normal car mode, these fences, gates, etc. will deal damage to you. And once your health reaches zero, BOOM goes your car and you need to start from square one. But don't worry, that's when your bullet mode comes into play.
The bullet mode is where the FUN is at. By switching to bullet mode, which is done by hitting the space bar button, you don't just get a HUGE speed boost that allows you to cover more ground in half the time. More importantly, in this distance game where speed and safety are equally important, you can crash through the in-game obstacles without worrying. Your car's bullet mode construction has been built from the ground up to do just that - crash into heavy and sturdy stuff!
One of the most challenging things about this driving game is that unlike its 'brothers', you have VERY LITTLE control over your car's movement. Nah, you cannot hit the brakes. You cannot steer left or right. You can't move in reverse. You can't jump or lean forward or backward to keep your ride in a balanced position. No, your car moves forward... and it moves fast! Instead, you only have the bullet mode at your disposal. This, as I have said, allows you to burst through obstacles and leap through gaps without breaking a sweat all the time... ALMOST. That said, the game can get really difficult until you get a hang of what you are doing. Experienced players and newcomers in the genre will surely have a rough start. Don't tell me I didn't warn you - this is NOT your typical driving game! But all the better since that gives the game a whole new flavor, which means it packs MORE doses of fast-paced and explosive fun than others.
There are 3 bonuses to watch out for in Bullet car: (1) The gas bonus - collect as many of these as you can and your chain score will soon hit the roof... helping you rack up a pretty decent score in no time. (2) The NOX canister, on the other hand, increases your speed. This isn't just useful for covering greater distances. Combined with the bullet mode, you can safely leap over the widest of pits. (3) Last BUT not the least, we have the Plus Bonus. This helps you replenish your health. Obviously, unless you have superhuman reflexes, you car will take some beating and eventually, you will run out of health. The PLUS bonus will go a long way in extending your game.
All of these bonuses are important - PERIOD! And you need to collect as many of them as possible if you want to have an awesome score. The good thing is that these collectibles are scattered all over the place (especially the gas), waiting for you to pick them up. That said, I must warn you that, when in bullet mode, it's hard to collect them since you will be spending half of your time in mid air. You want to use your normal car mode to make sure none of these goodies are missed. Just be careful, there could be a gate or fence ahead so keep your hands on ready to hit the space bar button.
At the end, your score is based on three factors: the droids you have destroyed; time and distance; as well as your chains. First things first, there are droids in the game and man they are annoying. They hover around your car and they will keep firing at it until you destroy them or they destroy you. Unfortunately, you don't have anything - gun, missiles, etc. to fight back with. That leaves you with only the near-invincible bullet mode to do the job. The time and distance part, I think, is self explanatory. The longer you are able to go without getting destroyed and the greater the distance you cover, the MORE points you bag. And last BUT not the least, the longer your chain, the better. All of them sound simple in theory, but wait until you play the game. ?
Lastly, for the achievement hungry fellas out there, rejoice! Gladly, the makers of Bullet Car did not forget you guys. With the simple premise that this game has, achievements give you that 'something extra' to set your sights on and work for. The achievements range from ultra easy like hitting a 50 chain or smashing 100 boxes to devilishly difficult such as demolishing 20 droids and getting 200% health. These achievements give you something to strive for... something beyond a good score.
Summing things up, Bullet Car is a one of a kind car game that driving game fans will surely love. It's NOT complicated BUT it's challenging. The concept is not out of this world but it stands out from the rest. With the entertaining graphics, explosive sounds effects, etc. topping the whole thing like icing on a cake, this is a driving game you should check out.
